S.p.A. was founded in Parma in 1910 by Gino Pizzarotti, subsequently transformed in 1945 into a limited liability company by Pietro Pizzarotti, father of the current Chairman Paolo Pizzarotti, and became a joint-stock company in 1961 with a share capital of 250 million euros.
