Information for candidates
in accordance with article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679
Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter also “GDPR”), your personal data will be collected and processed by Carel Industries S.p.A. and by the branch of the Carel Group in the country where you are applying as the data controller (hereinafter “Data Controller”), who consequently provides the following information concerning the processing of your personal data.
1. Purposes of the processing
The processing of personal data will take place in order to manage the applications received, exclusively for the activity of selection and evaluation of personnel.
2. Lawfulness and provision of data
Data is provided on a voluntary basis, nonetheless, failure to provide your data will make it impossible to consider your application.
Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract pursuant to article 6, paragraph 1, letter b) of the GDPR.
In addition, the retention of personal data of the data subject is necessary for the pursuit of the legitimate interest of the Data Controller pursuant to art 6, paragraph 1 lett. f) of the GDPR.
3. Special categories of personal data
If the CVs submitted contain special categories of personal data(i.e. data revealing that the data subject has legally protected status), the Data Controller will only process relevant data for assessing professional aptitude, within the limits by which the acquisition of such information is strictly necessary for employment of the candidate.
4. Methods of processing and disclosure of personal data
The processing of personal data will be carried out by authorized personnel using appropriate tools to ensure security and confidentiality and may be carried out with the help of manual and computerizing tools.
The processing will be carried out by employees of the Data Controller, as authorized personnel belonging to the Human Resources Management Area.
The personal data of the data subject, including any special categories of personal data indicated in the format and/or CV, may be communicated and processed by Carel Industries Group Companies and by recruiters who the company uses for research activities and selection of candidates, the conduct of pre-selective and/or cognitive interviews and similar operations.
5. Data retention period
The personal data provided by the data subject will be kept for the period necessary to carry out the assessments on the needs of hiring staff and in any case for a period not exceeding 30 months.
After this period, the personal data will be deleted and/or anonymized so as not to allow, even indirectly, to identify the data subjects.
6. Data subject’s rights
In relation to the processing of your personal data, you may exercise the rights provided for in articles 15 to 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (reproduced in summary at the bottom of this policy).
